His Excellency President Dr. Ali made a speech yesterday in Berbice that was very encouraging. His plans to improve law and order, and foster development for the betterment of residents and businesses will foster additional foreign direct investment in the Region if successfully implemented. His approach will also increase property value and improve the experience of tourists to the Region.
CRG congratulates His Excellency and his team on taking the time to consider the importance of the factors that will bring value to the Region and making plans to improve these key components of a well-functioning society. Such plans should also be extended to all regions and in the case of the laid off sugar workers of Wales Estate. Providing jobs and available land for laid off workers to be able to add value to our economy is always also beneficial to the surrounding communities.
His Excellency is starting to show his maturity in The Office of The President as he takes the time to properly lay out his investments in a planned, timely and orderly regional development program. The key to success will be to not rush the implementation nor overspend during the process. This will ensure that the work done is done properly, and that those given an opportunity to develop new skills will have the time to learn to function effectively in their new roles.
