Dear Editor,
In Guyana today, politics and its “delivery” of “governance” is based on money. Nothing wrong there, right? Yeah, RIGHT! We “vote” for our favourites but not favourites with a clean, spotless background NO! That does not fit with today’s world (clean, spotless) means there’s no MONEY there. “ONLY A FOOL VOTES FOR THAT” we think with our street-wisened (analysis), even though there may be good reason to think so. However, we vote as “right thinking, sensible” citizens of a” democratic sovereignty” even though our favourite candidate is corrupt as hell… and we wait for the “money” to start rolling towards us. Our collective poverties as hard-working, tax-paying citizens have been privatised for future reference soooo… we keep “voting” for our favourites, corrupt as they are. War and Corruption have been, and are rigorously maintained as industries and that means, therefore, BUSINESS IS GOOD. Keep voting. Just my three cents…
