Dear Editor,
We have been hearing about the cash grant to Guyanese for Christmas. This grant is supposed to go to all Guyanese in all economic categories the rich the poor and the in between.
Well the realities suggests the impossibility of accomplishing this however there is a way one of the categories who is most needy, the old age pensioners can get theirs.
Well the pension book for 2025 has an extra coupon at the back. All were wondering about the purpose of this. It was felt it was for a future payout.
I am suggesting that the President put a value to the coupon and the pensioners would receive their cash grant for the Christmas.
In this way the President can fulfill his promise to one of the needy sections of the Guyanese population.
