Dear Editor,

In the back and forth exchanges among various commentators on renegotiation and your editorial with same caption (Jan 13) on the Exxon contract, with references made to party politics and the coming elections, the oil contract and Exxon are not factors in how the electorate vote. The contract and Exxon are factors in the politics of the political parties with neither one wanting to take a position that comes across as investment unfriendly or that breaks contracts. And each party is playing its card silently and wisely so.
