Happy New Year to readers of the letter column.
From invasion to talk of installation all in one sweep.
First the invasion plan took out the President. But now the plan was hyped to run (read install) the country until it is safe to hand over to a new administration (read until an administration that is loyal) is elected. And what does all of this mean for Guyana? Hopefully peace and stability.
Could the taking out of a legitimate head of state on ill pretext come across the sea to haunt us?
The President needs to address the nation on these developments.
It is posited until the election for new Opposition Leader (OL) is held the post is not vacant and the Leader of the minority party in opposition is still the functioning OL and should be consulted.
