Dear Editor,
I welcome the establishment of the Consumer Protection Institute. It will be walking in the footsteps of the Guyana Consumers Association, a vibrant and vigilant volunteer organization. For decades, its members advocated for and worked tirelessly towards the education and protection of consumers. One of our lasting legacies is the provision of priority lines and seating for the elderly at public places. I wish this new Institute every success.
