Dear Editor,
In my life time I have seen the closure of the following newspapers: Guyana Graphic, The Citizen, Argosy, and Caribbean Contact.[1] I consider each closure a loss to the Guyanese public. Now the Stabroek News is on its way out. What a sad event for Guyana. We are as a nation significantly poorer.
