Dear Editor,
The new world order coalition in resistance to U.S. dominance crumbles under the current global state of affairs. The coalition of anti-American nations (Venezuela, Iran, Russia, North Korea, and China) is being dismantled one by one. Everyone remembers their show of solidarity prior to the pandemic that originated from China and their subsequent show of military strength. Since then, Venezuela, which was the closest in location to the U.S. and the most vociferous and oil rich threat has been neutralised with the decapitation of its head and most active member Nicolas Maduro. Someone who has been linked to the narcotics used to weaken the U.S. from the inside by creating a drug addicted and less focused citizenry. His invitation to allow Russian military marine vessels in waters close to the U.S. was a major misstep that provoked the wrath of the most powerful military in the world. Cuba did join Venezuela in this miscalculation and now the wrath of the U.S. is also upon them.
Securing the communist island in America’s best interest is now at hand and about to be achieved without military action. Russia has not come to their rescue nor has China, even though they had a high-level meeting just prior to Maduro’s capture. Maduro’s replacement has shown herself to be quite docile and easily redirected to the will of the U.S. Personal survival has trumped party and Chavez’s interests. Will Venezuelan national interests also shift to the will of the U.S.?
Russia continues to be occupied with its own search for additional resources that has left their military weakened and their economy poorer as a result. Iran has been shown to be more rhetoric than action in the face of American military might and has been forced to reduce the scope of their military operations in the region. The supreme leader of the Islamic Republic has suffered a worse faith than that of Maduro who still lives. As oil prices soar due to the restrictions caused by the war in the Middle East, China has been forced to reduce its forecast for economic growth, and they have also been very reluctant to give the members of their new world order coalition any military assistance. The fire horse of the East has galloped off into the sunset of self-interest and remains very focused within its Great Wall on continually securing its territory. Will the moment of confrontation over Taiwan occur if U.S. victory and strength can be gained without it?
The actions of the U.S. in the Middle East may prove to be a master stroke that will weaken China and add additional strength to the U.S. economy over the long term via increased oil reserves and resulting cheaper energy to drive American economic growth. An unconditional surrender by Iran will surely provide the correct foundation for such an expectation. The last member of the anti-American coalition, North Korea, has been engulfed in Russia’s misstep in Ukraine while the U.S. cautiously provides new strength to Japan. Many may not like Trump’s approach of speed & surprise over gaining permission, but in the game of long-term strategy that involves war few will be able to find a better solution to secure America’s place in the world.
The increased focus on reducing narcotic and human trafficking activities via the launch of the Shield of the Americas Summit provides a broad and powerful platform for the U.S. to further secure its citizens from external threats. A plus for continual American prosperity. This may prove to be yet another master stroke that will help return the region to one of peace and security. Guyana cannot afford to be on the wrong side of history in this moment. This does not mean acting as a colony of the U.S. as our current president has shown a propensity towards but instead it means that it is time to profoundly embrace a strong law and order system that supports the sustainable prosperity of all within our hemisphere regardless of the religious, political, and economic ideology of our current government. President Trump’s overall strategy deserves an A+ at this time. The U.S. has produced a strong trump card that has won the current hand on the table in the game of global dominance.
