Dear Editor,
Last year and again this year, after strikes on Iran, the White House declared confidently that they had “obliterated”, their words not mine, Iran Nuclear capabilities. Yet without rhyme or reason, the US begun the heavy military assault against Iran.
Then, there is what amounts to a declaration to take Greenland, obviously using the awesome might of its military. Now Cuba is on the radar with a blockade that can only be described as inhumane and cruel to the citizens of Cuba.
The big question is; how is Cuba, or Greenland a threat to anyone, high or low, in the US? Is it not the same attitude as that of Adolf Hitler when he invaded Poland in September 1939? This attitude led to the disastrous World War 2 that caused over 80 million lives.
This is what happens when, as one writer said, some folks seem addicted to war. We must in our churches, temples, mosques, the marketplace and everywhere speak up against this addiction to war before it is too late.
