Dear Editor,
I am of the opinion that the people responsible for giving out the cash grant are not doing a proper job. I also think that there are irregularities taking place at the registrar of birth and deaths. I say this because an individual who is a Canadian citizen and is the recipient of the cash grant had obtained birth certificates for his two adult children who were born in Canada. As such they have received the last cash grant and are in the process in receiving the current one in their Guyana bank account.
I am sure this is happening elsewhere. The Government needs to stop this hand out because it makes local Guyanese lazy and do not want to work.
