Firstly apologies for the incomplete email hereinunder send by error.
Further to the Ministry of Education’s acknowledgement that no permission was granted to Mae’s Schools to operate an unauthorized, illegal and unlawful business of a school, Mae’s Schools, on Farnum’s Playing Field, Mae’s Schools continuing to build on Farnum Playing Field in contradiction to national and municipal disclosures – Stabroek News.
And further to the end of the attached permit granted to David Sugrim by Mayor & City Council without any consultations with the Residents of Subryanville about the use of their community ground by a for profit business of a school, Mae’s Schools.
And further to M&CC’s undertakings to operationalize a tripartite agreement for the use of Farnum’s Playing Field, by a for profit private business. According to the Mayor at the 10 November 2025 Statutory Meeting, this was to be among the M&CC, Sugrim & his lawyers and the Residents of Subryanville, who were present at that meeting. Despite these undertakings at various Statutory meetings in November 2025 and in media, City Council proposes tripartite agreement for Mae’s School use of Farnum ground – News Room Guyana, to date, no agreement either in draft or otherwise has been sighted by the residents.
And further to the MOE’s MoE Advances National Anti-Bullying Campaign.
The Residents of Subryanville write to enquire whether the MOE will use its authority to ensure that no school is allowed to operate on Farnum’s Playing Field after Easter 2026 without any authorization from the Residents of Subryanville who own the community and were never consulted about this unauthorized, unlawful and illegal occupation.
The Residents of Subyanville hereby request that no school and/or business be permitted to operate on the community ground, Farnum’s Playing Field beyond 3 April 2026, Good Friday.
