Dear Editor,
We the Guyanese people have had enough of the wasteful spending being carried out by the current administration. The NRF has been depleted, debt has been accumulated and what do we have to show for it? The flooding continues to get worse as the climate changes and there has been a lack of focus on preventing this inevitable crisis from getting worse. All Guyanese, both old and young must send a clear message to the government that enough is enough!
During the upcoming local government elections, they must be voted out. The power is in the vote of our people. Use it wisely and ensure that those elected place the urgency and the resources where they are desperately needed. If they feel too secure in their elected office nothing will change. The worsening floods must be prevented for lasting transformation and national development to occur. Vote for no more floods!
