I know
I have been there;
Excruciating pains
Almost unbearable
But I have survived
More than once.
Those at rest, below,
Perhaps are bidding us to be in peace
For who of us can reverse time
To create from dismal darkness
A glimpse of light.
In grief then that will not leave
Let us walk as we should
Daily dying but daily living
For what more can we do?
I am still there now!
Perhaps the pains will be less
If we pause to hear their voices…
Voices that now have deduced
A memorial to us most welcomed
That we the decedents die not to memories.
