I wish to thank Stabroek News for service to this nation. Personally, I am grateful to Stabroek News for publishing my letters for years.[1]
It is regrettable that Stabroek New has to close its operation.[2] Sad!
Many, many will miss you.
In poetry I will say:
From the pages of history
We will draw themes
Of faithfulness
Of dedication
Of strength to survive
And we will in our heart
Record the passing of a rich era
And we will hope
The Phoenix will rise from ashes
To be once again a miracle of the sky.
